Bring your students to this educational event!

Following the great success of the second edition in 2012, the Office for Science and Technology at the Consulate General of France in Chicago in Chicago organizes a third whole day for the discovery of science by students, in downtown Chicago, through hands-on activities.

The booths are run by our French and American scientific partners. Some of the subjects scheduled are:

  • Nuclear energy
  • Supraconductivity
  • Electric cars
  • Energy storage
  • Mathematics

And so much more!

For whom?

This event is designed for both American and French students from 5th to 10th grade and their teachers. As most of the scientists present will be French speakers, French-speaking audiences are welcome!

Classes will be divided into groups of 10 to 13 students. in order to visit each booth in an orderly fashion.

How to register ?

Up to 20 booths will be available, with hands-on activities of around 15 minutes each. We will organize your schedule so that every group of students will attend at least 6 booths (for a total duration of 2 to 2½ hours per group).

Our advice: plan to spend 3 hours on site, to allow a pleasant visit and a break in the morning/afternoon for your students! For how long ?

Fill out the form here, by indicating the number of students, their age, and the time you would want to come. It’s free, but space is limited. Morning sessions being sold out, remaining slots available are during the afternoon (12:30 to 3:30pm).
